Summer is drawing to a close, and children come home from camp, from the countryside, from the sea. And often not alone, but in the company of unwanted "lodgers". There are many reasons: dirty hands, large groups of children, unwashed fruit, swallowing water while swimming in ponds.
When to be alert
- the child complains of belly pain;
- skin rashes have appeared;
- appetite has disappeared;
- problems with stool;
- the child keeps scratching their bottom.
There is little hope for "worm egg" tests — they are of very little use even when worms are definitely present. You can have a blood test for antibodies to helminths, but it is expensive. It is simpler to give a preventive anti-parasite herbal course: several courses of 10 days with breaks of the same length.
Which herbs work
Herbs act in a complex way: they destroy eggs, larvae and adult worms with equal success. Widespread here in Siberia are tansy, yarrow, oregano, thyme, mugwort, elecampane, centaury and some others. Spices help too: clove and coriander.
We make a blend of 3–5 herbs, brew it in age-appropriate dosages and give it three times a day before meals.
But it is better, of course, to visit a specialist, who will prescribe a well-considered treatment plan. I invite you for a consultation.
This material is for general information; dosages for children are selected individually by a doctor.
